Miss Kristen Bexten teaches junior and senior Theology classes and serves as the Faculty & Staff Faith Formation Coordinator. She received her MA from Franciscan University in 1998, her BA from Benedictine College in 1993 and is currently pursuing her Masters in Educational Leadership from Columbia College.   She taught at Aquinas High School in LaCrosse, WI for three years and St. James Academy in Lenexa, KS for three years prior to joining the Tolton Catholic staff. Joe Bradley

Joe Bradley serves as the Coordinator of Strategic Communications. He received his Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Affairs (Nonprofit Management) from MU. Prior to joining the Tolton Catholic staff in 2017, he served as the Communications Coordinator at the St. Thomas More Newman Center, Director of Online Media Strategy for the Rebecca Gordon Group and AmeriCorps member at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri. He and his wife Ellen enjoy attending music festivals and Mizzou football games. He also enjoys playing golf, bowling, ping pong, mentoring kids and cheering on the Cubs and Creighton Bluejays. In his free time, he also runs the Day Dreams Foundation, a local nonprofit that he founded to award scholarships to children from low-income households to participate in extracurricular activities.

Fr. Mike Coleman

Mike Coleman is our high school chaplain. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes parish here in Columbia. Previously, he was pastor of St. Pius X parish in Moberly. He frequently relies on his own Catholic high school education and tells everyone that he has spent his life waiting for the chance to get back into a Catholic high school. Tolton Catholic is blessed to have him. Fr. Mike has a wonderful rapport with our students and families, attends nearly every Tolton Catholic sporting event, and LOVES Cardinal baseball.

Ron Comley serves as the Tolton Catholic Facilities Manager and has been an integral part of the Tolton team since the doors opened in 2011. Having initially worked for the school on a contract basis, Ron became a full time member of the school staff in the summer of 2015.

Mary Creach runs the Tolton Catholic front office. She received her BS in Education from Missouri State University and spent 32 years in the classroom as a high school English teacher. She also worked for 3 years as the medical education coordinator for Cox Health systems in Springfield, MO before joining the inaugural Tolton Catholic team. She enjoys playing golf, reading, and playing guitar and spends as much time as possible attending her granddaughter’s soccer and basketball games. Favorite Scripture Verse: Psalms 40: 2-3


Ms. Laura Cooper

Laura Cooper is the instructor for English III  and A.P Language   She received her B.S.Ed from the University of Missouri in Columbia in Secondary English Education with a minor in Speech and Theater. Laura is entering her twenty-eighth year of teaching high school, and her background includes teaching Honors classes and coaching Speech and Debate. Laura enjoys reading, gardening, and walking with her rescue dog, Bodie. She and her husband, Chris, reside in Jefferson City where he teaches A.P. Psychology at Helias High School. They have one son, Cole, who is a Northwestern Engineering graduate, and he lives in Chicago.  Favorite scripture verse – Romans 8:28

Brittany Copeland

Brittany Copeland was happy to begin her teaching career here at Tolton after receiving her BS in Secondary Biology Education from Mizzou. She teaches Anatomy & Physiology and college-prep track Biology. She loves that she can talk about science and faith at Tolton with no conflict. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys learning – particularly foreign languages, theology, and more about science. Favorite Scripture Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9


Mr. Lee Franklin

Lee Franklin joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2016. He received his BA in History & Political Science from Culver-Stockton College and his Master’s in Education from the University of Missouri St. Louis. He teaches social studies at Tolton Catholic and serves as an assistant coach on the football team. He taught for Columbia Public Schools and also at Shenyang Normal University in China prior to joining the Tolton Catholic team. Franklin enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie, reading, writing, and following his favorite sports teams: the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Mr. Josh Giliberto

Josh Giliberto is our Algebra I, Honors Algebra 2, and Honors Precalculus teacher. He served six years in the United States Air Force and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Columbia College. On top of teaching, Josh helps coach both the Boys and Girls Soccer programs. Outside of school, Josh spends most of his free time with his wife, Maggie, and his two-year-old son Owen. He also serves on the Day Dreams Foundation Board of Directors, allowing him to give back to the local community. Favorite Scripture Verse: Psalms 23

Scott Henderson received both his BA and MA degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has logged 15 years of experience in the classroom and currently teaches AP European History, World History, and Latin here at Tolton Catholic. He loves working with Tolton’s “energetic, motivated, and well-rounded students” and the school’s balanced focus on Spirit, Heart, Mind, and Body. Mr. Dustijn Hollon

Mr. Dustijn Hollon serves at the Director of Bands and Choirs and is the Coordinator of Music Activities at Tolton Catholic.  Mr. Hollon received his BA in Music from Truman State University and his Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri – Columbia.  Mr. Hollon has eleven years experience in education and before joining the Tolton Catholic staff in 2016, he taught in the Moniteau County R-I, Linn County R-IV and Adair County R-I School Districts.  He is a season ticket holder to Mizzou Football and the Broadway Series at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in St. Louis.  Mr. Hollon also enjoys following St. Louis Cardinals baseball, traveling around the country with his family and visiting amusement parks (especially Silver Dollar City). Patrick Kelly teaches freshmen Government and Geography and Junior AP US History. He received a BS in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Social Studies and completed his student teaching at Centralia High School before joining the inaugural Tolton Catholic team in 2011.   He also serves as the Head Track Coach, Assistant Coach for Cross Country and sponsors Key Club, Aquarium Club, and the Blazer Athletics Running and Fitness club. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Administration at Columbia College and enjoys running and sailing. Favorite Scripture Verse: Mark 2:27

Rose Lloyd serves as the Tolton Catholic Finance Director. She joined the Tolton staff in the spring of 2013. A CPA, Rose earned her BSBA in Accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Immediately after college, she joined the Missouri State Auditor’s office as a staff auditor.  After three years of traveling across the state, she accepted a position for Legend Automotive Group in Columbia, MO and worked there for seventeen years, resigning as the CFO, to accept an auditing/tax position at Gerding, Korte & Chitwood, CPA’s.  While working at GKC, she served on the Advisory Board for Tolton Catholic.  Originally from Boonville, MO, she graduated from SS Peter & Paul grade school.  Her two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily are sophomores here at Tolton Catholic and Rose “enjoys every moment of being part of the Tolton family”.   Favorite Scripture verses: Proverbs 22:6 and 1 Corinthians 12:4


Mrs. Amanda Lutz

Amanda Lutz is excited to start her teaching career at Tolton Catholic where she will be teaching Geometry, Algebra 2 and College Algebra. She will graduate from Columbia College in December 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics. Her and her husband Barry have four children, Laurel (19), Benjamin (11), Bridgette (11), and Landon(9). She also has one grandchild, Saphira. Outside of school, she loves to read and spend time with her family. Favorite Scripture Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6

Chad Masters serves as Tolton’s Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, and Head Football Coach. He’s been coaching for 17 years, having spent time on staff at Centralia High School, Jefferson City High School, and Hickman High School before joining Tolton Catholic. He received his BS in Secondary Education and his Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from MU. He and his wife Joan have two sons, Jack (10) and Nate (4). In addition to athletic hobbies, Chad enjoys the outdoors, reading, history, and gardening. What he loves best about Tolton Catholic is the fact that it represents the manifestation of the dreams of a community, and to serve here is to answer a calling from God.  Favorite Scripture Verse: Matthew 19:26

Jill McIntosh serves as the Director of Advancement for Tolton Catholic. She received BSBA degrees in Marketing and Management from MU.   She began her career in Operations Management for Sprint, then returned to Missouri to run a family insurance business for a number of years before venturing into the development field. She served in major gift officer, relations manager, and director of annual giving roles for the University of Missouri’s advancement division prior to her tenure with Tolton Catholic. She has two children, Garrett (9) and Grace (7), both students at Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School.   Cooking, fishing, gardening and planning get-together’s for family and friends are her favorite hobbies. Vince Morris teaches Physical Education and coaches the defensive line for football and the throwers on the track team.   He received his BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from MU with a sports management emphasis. Bernie Naumann serves as the President/Principal for Tolton Catholic.  He received a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Business from St. Louis University, a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UMKC, and a Masters in Secondary School Administration from Missouri Baptist.  He has been in business administration for 20 years.  Before joining the Tolton team in 2016, he served the Archdiocese of St. Louis – first as a teacher, coach and administrator at St. Dominic, later as President of Duchesne High School.  He has been gifted by God with three great children and a beautiful wife, Joan.  He’s a sports fan and loves watching movies and spending time with his family, especially at their Lake home on Table Rock.  Favorite Scripture Verse: 1 Corinthians 13:47


Mrs. Hannah Orf

Hannah Orf received her bachelor of arts from Westminster College, where she majored in Spanish and minored in international business.
In Hannah’s first year at Tolton Catholic, she is teaching Spanish 1, personal finance, and intro to business. She also serves as the assistant volleyball coach. She has previous job experience in property development and equity management. Her favorite things to do include traveling and spending time with her husband Bill, 1-year-old Henry and newborn Calvin is due any day now! Favorite Scripture Verse: Ephesians 4:2

Mr. Jeremy Osborne received his BS in Sports Management from Culver-Stockton College and teaches Business, Economics, Health, Psychology, and Strength and Conditioning. He also serves as the head basketball coach and an assistant football coach. Jeremy and his wife Brittany have two daughters, Leighton (6) and Landri (1). Miss Celina Pinedo teaches Theology here at Tolton Catholic and serves as the Liturgical Coordinator and Student Service Coordinator for the school. Chuck Register joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2015 and teaches Biology, AP Biology and Physical Science. He received his Bachelors degree in Education from Central Missouri State University and his Masters from Lincoln University. Chuck has taught at each of the diocesan high schools, having started his career at Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia, then teaching for 20 years at Helias before joining the Tolton Catholic team. Curt Riley serves as Tolton Catholic’s Assistant Athletic Director and Head Girls Basketball Coach. Curt received his BA from Tarkio College and spent 29 years teaching and coaching in the public school system and 8 years with Columbia College before joining the Tolton Catholic team in 2014. Curt was a member of the 2014 Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame class. Laura Sasser serves as the school’s Head Cheer and Dance Coach and works as a coordinator in the school’s Advancement Office. Laura received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Illinois State University. Prior to her tenure with Tolton Catholic, she served as a Head Cheer Instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association, a Senior Account Executive for the Dallas Business Journal and an Office Manager for Mizzou Sports Properties. She and her husband Jeff have two daughters – Caroline, a Junior at Tolton, and Kate, an 8th grader at Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School.  In her free time, she enjoys cooking, family dinners, reading, shopping, watching her girls participate in their chosen activities, and going to the beach. Tim Scherrer serves as the Tolton Catholic Dean of Academics. He received his BA and MA degrees in History from Truman State University.   Prior to joining the Tolton Catholic team, he spent 12 years as an administrator at Truman State, 8 years as an assistant professor of Military Science and History at Mizzou, and 6 years as the Director of College Placement and Counseling at Missouri Military Academy. Wes Stratman joined the Tolton Catholic team in the summer of 2012. He teaches Math and serves as the House System Coordinator. He received his BS in Mathematics and Statistics from MU and is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Catholic School Leadership through Creighton University. Wes and his wife Elizabeth have two daughters, Gabrielle and Grace. Lonnie Tapia joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2013 and teaches art, photography, and design.  He also serves as Head Soccer Coach and Assistant Baseball Coach. Lonnie earned his BFA from Columbia College, with an emphasis in Graphic Design.  He has an extensive background in marketing and merchandising, having served in professional roles across the US with Venture Stores, The Limited, Lane Bryant, Georgetown Leather Design, and Canadians Fur Trappers Company Fashion Group, just to name a few. He continues run his own creative agency, Tapia Concepts, as well. Lonnie and his high school sweetheart Susan Maledy have been married for 40 years. Ericca Thornhill joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in the summer of 2012.   Ericca earned both her BS and MS degrees in Education from the University of Missouri.   She teaches Science here at Tolton Catholic and serves as the Scholar Bowl team sponsor.   She and her husband Travis love to “explore the world” and learn new things in their spare time. Paulina Tramel teaches World Literature and AP Literature and Composition. She also oversees the Yearbook staff and serves as the Pro-Life Club sponsor. Paulina received her AA in Medical Transcription, her BA in English and her MAE all from Truman State University. Early in her career, she served as an Admissions Officer for Truman State and, prior to her tenure at Tolton Catholic, taught at MACC, Quincy Notre Dame High School, and Canton R-V High School. She and her husband David have two sons, Nathan and Garrett.   One of nine children, she enjoys reading, biking, board games, and jigsaw puzzles.   She loves the sense of community shared here between the faculty, staff, and students and states that “our school is a family– we watch out for, care for, serve, and pray for each other every day!” Favorite Scripture Verse: Jeremiah 29:11


Mrs. Karen Washer

Karen Washer serves as Administrative Assistant in the main office.  She received her Bachelors in Education from Boston College with continued studies as a graduate student at the University of Missouri.  Karen has taught grades K-3 in a number of states, and most recently, worked at Mizzou as an Editor in the Engineering Department.  Karen and her husband, Glenn, are the proud parents of Maggie, Bailey, Tobey, Jack, and Beau; they are both excited that their family continues to grow with the addition of a son-in-law in December 2017.  Karen and her family worship at The Crossing Church.  Favorite Scripture Verse:  John 3:16.
