Samantha Baratta teaches Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri S&T and is excited to combine her knowledge of science and engineering with her passion for Catholic education. In her free time, Samantha enjoys trying new games with friends and family. She and her husband have acted as beta testers for a few strategy games and have even been known to participate in the occasional Dungeons & Dragons campaign.
Joe Bradley serves as the Coordinator of Strategic Communications, yearbook teacher, as well as the head coach for the boys and girls golf teams. He received his Bachelor of Journalism and a Masters in Public Affairs (Nonprofit Management) from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the Tolton Catholic staff in 2017, he served as the Communications Coordinator at the St. Thomas More Newman Center. He and his wife Ellen are legal guardians to a 14-year-old, Ja’shaun, and enjoy attending music festivals and Mizzou football games. He also enjoys playing golf, bowling, ping pong, mentoring kids and cheering on the Cubs and Creighton Bluejays. In his free time, he also runs the Day Dreams Foundation, a local nonprofit that he founded to award scholarships to children from low-income households to participate in extracurricular activities, and is actively involved in the Boonslick Kiwanis Club.
Mike Coleman is our high school chaplain. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Lourdes parish here in Columbia. Previously, he was pastor of St. Pius X parish in Moberly. He frequently relies on his own Catholic high school education and tells everyone that he has spent his life waiting for the chance to get back into a Catholic high school. Tolton Catholic is blessed to have him. Fr. Mike has a wonderful rapport with our students and families, attends nearly every Tolton Catholic sporting event, and LOVES Cardinal baseball.
Ron Comley serves as the Tolton Catholic Facilities Manager and has been an integral part of the Tolton team since the doors opened in 2011. Having initially worked for the school on a contract basis, Ron became a full-time member of the school staff in the summer of 2015.
Mrs. Brittany Copeland
Brittany Copeland was happy to begin her teaching career here at Tolton after receiving her BS in Secondary Biology Education from Mizzou in 2014. She teaches Anatomy & Physiology, college-prep track Biology, Earth Science and Environmental Science, and loves that she can talk about science and faith at Tolton with no conflict. She also co-directs Tolton’s theatre program, the St. Genesius Players. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys learning, volunteering, and spending time with her husband and 3 pets. Mr. Josh Giliberto
Josh Giliberto is our Honors Algebra 2, Honors Precalculus, Calc for Life Sciences, and AP Calculus teacher. He served six years in the United States Air Force and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Columbia College. On top of teaching, Josh helps coach both the Boys and Girls Soccer teams. Outside of school, Josh spends most of his free time with his son Owen. He also serves on the Day Dreams Foundation Board of Directors, allowing him to give back to the local community. Favorite Scripture Verse: Isaiah 41:10
Mr. Jeff Hagan
Jeff Hagan will be teaching American History, AP American History and World History. He will also be the girls swimming coach. He holds his BS in Social Studies Education from Missouri State University and his Masters in Social Studies Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He attended Catholic primary and secondary schools in St. Louis, Missouri. He has a total of 30 years of public school teaching in high school social studies and middle school social studies. His wife Janet is the K-2 Art teacher at OLLIS and both of his grown children, Elizabeth and Nicholas, attended OLLIS. In his free time he enjoys playing sports, traveling and reading.
Mr. Mark Hausam
Mark Hausam teaches Sophomore Theology as well as Theology electives. He has a BA in Theology from Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL) and a PhD in Theology from the University of Wales, Lampeter, as well as twelve years of experience teaching college Philosophy and Religion courses. He is also active in his local parish as an RCIA team member and a cantor and choir member. Mark and his wife Desiree have been married for nearly 21 years and have nine children. Mark enjoys reading, writing, thinking about and discussing topics in philosophy, theology, and apologetics, engaging in conversations with people of different views, hiking and walking, listening to music, watching Star Trek, reading fantasy, historical fiction and science fiction novels, and spending time with his family, among other things. Mark is an INTP, which explains a lot about him. Mark is a native of Missouri, although he lived for many years in Utah. Favorite Scripture Verse: Ephesians 2:8-10
Mr. Scott Henderson
Scott Henderson received both his BA and MA degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He has logged 15 years of experience in the classroom and currently teaches AP European History, World History, and Latin here at Tolton Catholic. He loves working with Tolton’s “energetic, motivated, and well-rounded students” and the school’s balanced focus on Spirit, Heart, Mind, and Body. Ms. Emily Horn
Emily Horn is the instructor for Spanish 2, 3, and 4. She received her B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Linguistics from Truman State University. She also received her M.A. in Spanish from Saint Louis University and completed all her coursework toward the Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Emily has taught Spanish at the undergraduate level for ten years, 5 years each at Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She attended Catholic primary and secondary schools and loves being back in a faith-based environment. She loves cats, doing crafts, and spending time with her 3-year-old niece. Mr. Pat Kelly
Patrick Kelly is our Freshmen Government/Geography teacher and Junior US History teacher but in his time at Tolton has also taught World History, Health, P.E. and AP US History. In addition to running the House Program at Tolton, Pat Serves as the Head Track and Field Coach, the Assistant Cross Country Coach and sponsors the Key Club, Aquarium Club, and Blazer Athletics Running and Fitness (B.A.R.F.) club. Pat is a member of the inaugural faculty in 2011, coming to Tolton after earning his BS in Secondary Education and obtaining his certification in Secondary and Middle School Social Studies from the University of Missouri. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Columbia College and will be getting married this New Year’s Eve. Favorite Scripture verse: Proverbs 27:23-24
Mr. Kevin Kiley
Kevin Kiley teaches Sociology, Psychology, Physical Education, and Senior Theology. Kevin also serves as the Head Coach for Girls Tennis and the Head Coach for Girls Basketball. He earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Educational Specialist Degrees from the University of Missouri. He previously worked as a school administrator for Columbia Public Schools, Jefferson City Schools, and the Southern Boone County School District, and he arrived at Father Tolton with 25 years of experience in education. He and his wife Jill, who is the Media Specialist at Jefferson Middle School in Columbia, have two sons. Favorite Scripture Verse: Matthew 7:7
Gary Link is the school’s Athletic Director and teaches both Intro to Business and Personal Finance, and serves as an assistant on the Boys Basketball team. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Business in 1974 from the University of Missouri, where he played basketball for the Tigers. Gary helped run a family business for 26 years, and also worked with Mizzou Athletics for 17 years. He has two children, Michael and Lindsay. Favorite Scripture verse: Psalm 23: 4-6
Ms. Rose Lloyd
Rose Lloyd serves as the Tolton Catholic Finance Director. She joined the Tolton staff in the spring of 2013. A CPA, Rose earned her BSBA in Accounting from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO. Immediately after college, she joined the Missouri State Auditor’s office as a staff auditor. After three years of traveling across the state, she accepted a position for Legend Automotive Group in Columbia, MO and worked there for seventeen years, resigning as the CFO, to accept an auditing/tax position at Gerding, Korte & Chitwood, CPA’s. While working at GKC, she served on the Advisory Board for Tolton Catholic. Originally from Boonville, MO, she graduated from SS Peter & Paul grade school. Her two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily are seniors here at Tolton Catholic and Rose “enjoys every moment of being part of the Tolton family.” Favorite Scripture verses: Proverbs 22:6 and 1 Corinthians 12:4
Mrs. Amanda Lutz
Amanda Lutz is our College Algebra, Algebra II, and Honors Geometry teacher. She earned her Bachelor’s in Mathematics from Columbia College. She loves math so much that she sponsors the Mathletes. Amanda and her husband, Barry are the proud parents of Laurel (20), Benjamin (12), Bridgette (12), and Landon (10). Outside of school she loves to go visit her grandchildren, Saphira and Rylan, spend time with family, and read. Favorite Scripture Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6.
Dr. Laura Mayes
Dr. Laura Mayes earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Central Methodist College where she performed in jazz and concert bands, choirs, and Opera Workshop. Favorite roles include Fastrada in Pippin. She earned her Master of Music degree at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she performed the Fairy in Massenet’s opera, Cendrillon (Cinderella) and was Assistant Director for The Marriage of Figaro, while covering the role of Susanna.
Laura moved to NYC in 1993 and worked as Cantor at St. Saviour’s R.C. Church in Brooklyn, for 8 years. She sang leading operatic roles with Hudson Opera Theatre and Harlem Opera while working full-time as a secretary on Wall Street. In 2003, she began her DMA degree at the Eastman School of Music. Roles at Eastman include the Ensemble in Sweeney Todd and Aunt Julia in Claudia Legare. Laura worked seven years on the voice faculty, two as Program Director, for the Hochstein School of Music; a nationally recognized community music school.
In Columbia, Laura has directed voice and bell choirs at the First Christian Church and has taught voice and piano at Show Me Guitars. Laura is excited to teach music at Tolton. She learns from her students every day.

Ms. Jill McIntosh
Jill McIntosh, Interim President, received BSBA degrees in Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri’s Trulaske College of Business. She began her career in Operations Management for Sprint, then returned to Missouri to work in her family’s insurance business, where she specialized in collateral protection for banks and financial institutions. She began her advancement career with her alma mater, MU. Within their advancement division, she served as a major gift fundraiser for the Business School, a relations manager for the College of Engineering, and most recently as Director of Annual Giving & Membership for the Mizzou Alumni Association. Upon the completion of the Chancery’s original capital campaign to build Tolton Catholic, McIntosh was hired to establish the school’s Columbia-based advancement office in early 2012. She continues to oversee fundraising, corporate relations, events, alumni programs, marketing and admissions for the high school. She is an active member of Sacred Heart Parish and serves on the Board of Directors of Columbia’s Northwest Rotary Club. She has two children, Garrett (12) and Grace (10), both students at Our Lady of Lourdes Interparish School. Favorite Scripture Verse: Galatians 6:9
Brenda Neuhaus is the Administrative Assistant for Athletics and Activities. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Southwest Baptist University, she worked in the insurance industry for over 10 years. After several fulfilling years as a stay-at-home mom, she was a substitute teacher in both Kansas and Missouri. In her spare time, she enjoys binge-watching movies and television series, reading, and, most importantly, attending her sons’ athletic events. Her life verse is Ephesians 2:10.
Mr. Jeremy Osborne
Mr. Jeremy Osborne received his BS in Sports Management from Culver-Stockton College and teaches Current Events, Economics, Health, Psychology. Jeremy joined the Tolton Catholic staff in 2012. He serves as the head basketball coach, and assistant football coach. Jeremy and his wife Brittany have two daughters, Leighton (8) and Landri (3), and a son, Langston (1). Jeremy is a big Shark Tank fan and in his free time enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and watching/playing sports. Favorite Scripture Verse: Joshua 1:9
Mr. Chuck Register
Chuck Register joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2015 and teaches Honors Biology, AP Biology and Physical Science. He also serves as the head coach for the boys and girls soccer teams. He received his Bachelors degree in Education from Central Missouri State University and his Masters from Lincoln University. Chuck has taught at each of the diocesan high schools, having started his career at Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia, then teaching for 20 years at Helias before joining the Tolton Catholic team. Outside of work he enjoys his family and being at their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks. He and his wife Susie have been married for 31 years and have two children, Alex and Lauren. Mrs. Roche has been involved in Catholic education for over 20 years, as a teacher or administrator in Missouri and Illinois. She received a BA in Business Communications and Elementary Education Certification from Avila University. She earned an MA in Education Leadership from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mrs. Roche enjoys spending time with her family in Kansas City, and is excited to join the Tolton Catholic community.
Mrs. Laura Sasser
Laura Sasser serves as the school’s Admissions Director and Head Cheer Coach. Laura received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Illinois State University. Prior to her tenure with Tolton Catholic, she served as a Head Cheer Instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association, a Senior Account Executive for the Dallas Business Journal and an Office Manager for Mizzou Sports Properties. She and her husband Jeff have two daughters – Caroline, a 2018 graduate of Tolton, and Kate, a junior at Tolton. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, family dinners, reading, shopping, watching her girls participate in their chosen activities, and going to the beach. Favorite Scripture Verse: Philippians 3:14.
Mr. Tim Scherrer
Tim Scherrer serves as the Tolton Catholic Dean of Academics. He received his BA and MA degrees in History from Truman State University. Prior to joining the Tolton Catholic team, he spent 12 years as an administrator at Truman State, 8 years as an assistant professor of Military Science and History at Mizzou, and 6 years as the Director of College Placement and Counseling at Missouri Military Academy. Outside of work time, he enjoys writing, reading, running and restoring WWII Military vehicles. Favorite Scripture Verse: Ephesians 6:10-18
Ms. Chelsea Schuster
Chelsea Schuster is blessed to serve as the Campus Minister and Freshman Theology Teacher for Tolton Catholic. She earned Bachelors degrees in Theology and Youth Ministry from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. Before Joining the Tolton family in 2017, she served in parish youth ministry programs all across the country. Mr. Lonnie Tapia
Lonnie Tapia joined the Tolton Catholic faculty in 2013 and teaches art, photography, and design. Lonnie earned his BFA from Columbia College, with an emphasis in Graphic Design. He has an extensive background in marketing and merchandising, having served in professional roles across the US with Venture Stores, The Limited, Lane Bryant, Georgetown Leather Design, and Canadians Fur Trappers Company Fashion Group, just to name a few. He continues to run his own creative agency, Tapia Concepts, as well. Lonnie and his high school sweetheart Susan Maledy have been married for 40 years. They have two sons — Jesse (26) and Niko (23). Mrs. Paulina Tramel
Paulina Tramel teaches English II, AP Literature and Composition and American Literature. She has been teaching at Tolton Catholic since the school opened. Paulina received her AA in Medical Transcription, her BA in English and her MAE all from Truman State University. Early in her career, she served as an Admissions Officer for Truman State and, prior to her tenure at Tolton Catholic, taught at MACC, Quincy Notre Dame High School, and Canton R-V High School. She and her husband David have two sons, Nathan and Garrett. One of nine children, she enjoys reading, biking, board games, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her 3-year-old granddaughter, Abigail. Favorite Scripture Verse: Jeremiah 29:11
Mrs. Kristie Wilson
Kristie Wilson serves as the school’s counselor and also teaches Theology classes. She received her B.S.Ed from Central Methodist University in Middle School Education and her Master’s of Education in K-12 Counseling from Stephens College. She is also currently working on a Master’s Degree in School Administration (she really loves school!) Kristie is in her 19th year of teaching, with the last ten as the Director of PRIDE Academy, Hallsville Public School’s alternative high school program. Her first teaching job was at St. Mary’s in Glasgow and she is thrilled to be returning to Catholic Education. She enjoys reading, laughing, hanging out with her nieces and nephews, and watching her children play sports. She, her husband, Steve, and their children, Paul and Ruthie, live in Hallsville.
